Dreams for Orphan Pets

Every 4 seconds, a cat or dog is killed by euthanasia because no one wants him or her.

Our vision: No more unwanted litters. Every homeless pet in a home. And an end to the suffering.

Together, we can make it happen.

“Never doubt that a small group of people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
--Margaret Mead

Our Dreams

Below are some of the special dreams our volunteers and supporters have shared with us.

To submit yours, send your dream to Emily at orphananimalrescue@yahoo.com and we will post it on this page.

The more we can dream together, the more momentum we will create toward achieving those dreams. And toward

making Wisconsin a state where no more homeless pets have to suffer or die because there are not enough homes for them.

In your own words...

"I dream that there will be a day when we no longer refer to Pit Bulls, Dobermans, and German Shepherds as bully breeds.

I dream that they won't be labeled and stereotyped as fierce, scary and aggressive. Instead I hope someday we can realize the

importance of training and the horror of any animal fighting; it is not a sport!

I dream that someday we won't have to hear the horrible stories of people torturing animals. I dream of a day when people

in a society learn to respect all creatures.

I dream of a day when individuals will no longer de-claw cats and can learn to appreciate cats and their claws for their

purpose and necessity." --Natalie Nelson

"It is my dream that EVERY veterinary clinic will be as devoted to feline health as I feel I am. Instead of having them

as a side thought." --a local vet tech

"I dream that we can fully educate our children as to the importance of animal welfare. The more children and adults

we educate, the better chance we have of our community turning into loving animal welfare volunteers!" --Sara Westgor

"I would make a petition to help fund low cost spay/neuters and fund the education curriculum in our elementary schools

about animal safety and animal welfare." --Kerry Guyette

"I dream of the day that an affordable local spay/neuter exists between animal rescue organizations and veterinarians for the

public to benefit from." --Amy King

"I dream that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of returning home after a long day at work to discover how

wonderful it is to love--and be loved--by a furry companion. This is an instant stress reliever, and there is no better way to

experience unconditional love than via a pet." --Natalie Nelson

"My dream is for every human to know that companion animals share this world with us and have much to teach us in the way

of kindness and compassion. If we only listen with our hearts." -- Donna Gasbarro

"I dream of the day that OARS can offer sanctuary to every neglected, abused and ill animal that comes to us needing help;

when we break ground on a facility the dream will be realized." --Nicole Boesken

"My dream is to raise enough to purchase a mobile Adopt-a-mobile/Spay/neuter Clinic so that we can take homeless

adoptable pets out into the community, to spread awareness of their need and promote the message of spay/neuter to

help decrease future homeless pets." --Emily Anderson

"My dream is to be able to help save the kitties I see roaming outside with no homes to go to." --Katie Bourne

"My dream is to be able to help my daughter help homeless animals and educate the community about the importance of

spaying and neutering their pets. --Bob Bourne

"My dream is to help support legislation that really makes a difference in the lives of homeless companion

animals." --Tim Anderson
