GET HANDS-ON TO HELP HOMELESS PETS!
+ Volunteer: we need help on-site with kitty care, socialization and cleaning. Volunteers must commit to one shift per week and be 17 or older to volunterer on-site alone; volunteers ages 12-16 can volunteer on-site with a parent or guardian.

+ Foster a homeless pet: Fostering is a rewarding experience that saves lives. We need more foster homes - simply put, the more foster homes we have, the more pets we can save. All it takes is a little time, love and a spare room. Read more about fostering here
+ Promote Spay and Neuter programs! It's the only way to effectively address pet overpopulation and utimately save lives. Check out the Spay Me Clinic! They have transports from Sun Prairie and offer high-quality, low-cost services from the fox cities on a regular basis.

LEAVE A LEGACY!
+Ensure a future of life saving
Help ensure a future of life saving by donating to pay down the mortgage on the pet adoption center, building a dog-building (essentially a garage) or a transport vehicle!
The Pet Adoption Center is home to 30 cats and kittens and their home. It is the HUB of OARS pet adoptions and there's currently a mortgage of approximately $85k. Naming honors are available.
A garage is needed on site to facilitate dog meet and greets! All of OARS dogs live in foster-care but often return to the center to meet potential families. A separate building would really help! Help is needed in designing and building the structure, raising funds and building it! We hope to complete the project in Fall, 2012. Naming honors are available!
Rescue Ride needed! We are in need of a conversion van to transport animals and supplies. The van or other transport vehicle would help significantly and naming honors are available on the vehicle!

GATHER & COLLECT ITEMS!
+ Have a cell phone drive! All cell phones will be recycled through GRC and the proceeds will help OARS pay for supplies and veterinary care. Just collect used cell phones, then drop in the Adoption Center lobby box or in the Donations bin at the back of our building.
+ Collect used ink cartridges! We will recycle them and collect money when we send them in. Just drop them off in our Adoption Center lobby box or in the Donations bin at the back of our building.
+ Collect Purina Weight Circles! Cut these off your Purina food bags and bring them to the Adoption Center. We send them in and get credit towards vet care and pet food!
+ Attention E-bayers! Simply select Orphan Animal Rescue as the recipient organization of a percentage of your sale - then they automatically donate the money into the OARS account - it's that easy! Learn more at ebaygivingworks.com
+ Donate pet-themed crafts! OARS is happy to accept pet-themed crafts or other homemade goods to sell at expos and events. We'd encourage you to include a business card or brochure with your items so we can acknowledge you and your business. Some people have made blankets, hats, mittens, scarves, dog coats and pet toys. + Have a supply drive at work, school, church or anywhere else! We’re always in need of litter and high-quality foods for the animals in our care. We often have sick, nursing or baby kitties who need canned food. See our complete list of needed items on our Wish List
