In Memoriam

Putter
Sweet girl, we had you only a short while, but loved you just as much, and miss you just as much.
+ Nicole and the OARS girls

Tully
Tully was the lawnmower survivor. I lovingly referred to him as J.D. (John deere) and Mary
later lovingly gave him a proper Irish name -- Tully.
He came to OARS in September. He was a fighter - he was put with a mama kitty and
was in foster care with Corey, Robin and ultimately with Mary until he was was adopted in late October.
I saw him in November when he came in to be neutered. He was cute and petite and the
family adored him. He just barely made the 2lb cut off and the family shared how they had
been working so hard to get him to put on weight. I remember sharing his rescue story with so
many people because of how fantastic his journey had been.
He never really put on weight and stopped growing and got sick. His adoptive mama, Molly and
her husband held him at the vet clinic while he passed over to rainbow bridge today. The vet suspects
he had FIP. This is a rare virus that he probably had since birth. It mostly affects young kittens and
is almost always fatal.
He was a lucky kitten to get a chance, thank you all for giving him that.

Bubbles
You touched our hearts sweet Bubbles...we loved you and will miss you dearly. You survived longer than any
feline leukemia positive kitty we have known...you had a fighting spirit and we loved that we got to spend so much
time with us here. Your foster mommy and the girls of OARS miss you dearly.
+ Donna, Emily and Nicole

Hannah Bean
You blessed us with you Hannah - so sweet, so soft, so snuggly - for more than a year. We were so lucky to have you this long.
When we found out you were sick, we couldn't believe you were on your way to heaven - way too soon. The love you
and your mommy shared was one in a lifetime; you were both so lucky to get to spend the short time on earth you had,
together. Your pain is gone now and you have crossed Rainbow Bridge. We'll meet you there someday and play together again.
We miss you with all our hearts and will never forget you Bean.
+ Emily, Emily and Natalie

Lil Peanut
You were a sweet soul who battled illness from the start. You may have been the runt of the litter, but you had the most love
to give. You inspire us to save more lives and not be afraid to live and love in the meantime. We miss you, sweet girl.
+ Amy & Steve and the OARS girls
Pixie
Pixie - you were rescued, loved and we battled to save your life but your lungs were too damaged. We love you and your sweet purr
and will monitor your siblings and hope they can overcome what you could not. We will keep fighting for beautiful little souls like yours
that deserve better -
+ Nicole
Butch
Tiny baby, we will miss you.

Kenya Marie
Kenya Marie (March 2005-April 2007) My dear Kenya, your time on earth was so short but you brought so much joy
to everyone's lives, you were perfect in every way. You loved to swim and often looked like a little otter, your favorite
spot was leaning in to someone "hugging" them on their lap. Everyone that met you was touched by your ability to
make them smile even in the worst of times. You bettered the pit bull name by your sweet easy going nature.
Lexi and I still miss you everyday that goes by. Grandma, Lexi and I helped you cross to the rainbow bridge after
your body failed you, my little girl we love you.
+ Corey
Frosty
Sweet white bunny, we loved your adorable face and soft fur. We will miss you Frosty.
+ Donna and Emily

Zoey
Sweet, sweet Zoey. May you rest in peace little girl. She was very loved and though she tried very
hard to survive, her illness was just too much for her frail little body to handle.
+ Natalie, Carrie and Emily

Doodle
Our sweet Doodle, you had such a rough life, you brought us your kittens and took such good care of them...we were
rooting for you til the end, you had such a strong spirit, but it was your time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. We miss
you like crazy, Doodle, and you have inspired us to save even more homeless kitties just like you. You have left
pawprints all over our hearts Doodle. We miss you.
+ Nicole, Emily, Donna and Natalie

Packer
You had a beautiful soul and we adored you Packer. We miss your sweet green eyes and soft fur, we're glad we could love you
for the short time we were blessed with your sweet face.
+ Nicole, Emily, Donna and Natalie
Tokyo
Sweet Tokyo, you were a cuddly, snuggly, sweet little kitten. You were with us for such a short time and we will never
forget you. Find no more pain and be at peace. We will not foget your sweet little soul.
+ Nicole, Tim, Sarah and Nathan

Owl
We miss this little girl. We love her face and her big brown eyes still warm our hearts. Even though she was in pain, she
would purr when we would hold her, massage her feet and head and help her eat. We do wish we could save them all.
+ Nicole, Natalie and Emily
Cinnamon
I cried for 5 hours after we lost him, but the vet confirmed that he was in pain and it was the right choice to let him go
to Rainbow Bridge. He was a sweet kitty who wanted nothing more than to be petted once in awhile, and held. We
loved our grumpy old grandpa.
+ Emily and Kerry

Joey
Joey, you left us too soon...your gorgeous little face and the sweet way about you will never be forgotten. You will motivate
us to save even more pups who faced the same obstacles you did. We love you, little guy.
+ Linda, Emily, and Corey
Bubba
Bubba was originally named Bear...Bubba was the mama in our little herd. When we brought home the infant kitten,
Beaker; Bubba would carry him around by the scruff of his neck. He cleaned Beaker and showed him where the litter box
was and how to eat and scrounge in the garbage...Bubba was also the ultimate hunter. He took down every bat, mouse
and other creature that crossed our domain in the last 15 years. He could fly across the ceiling to nab whatever dared
enter his lair. We called him Bear because he reminded us of one. In certain light his coat was more brown than black.
He growled alot when he was young and he was a formidable, big cat coming in at nearly 20 pounds in his prime...
Bubba has inspired us at OARS to save even more homeless kitties...he was very deeply loved and will be very deeply missed.
+ Nicole, Tim, Sarah, Nate and all the OARS girls
Buttons
We were so lucky to have you sweet Buttons for the short time you blessed us with your sweet spirit and enriched
our lives with your strong soul. You outlived the predictions and we were blessed with you for a year. You left paw prints
on all our hearts and we will never forget you.
--Donna, Emily, Nicole and Amy
5 Baby Kittens
We tried everything we could, but you couldn't survive without mama's milk. Your sweet little souls inspire us
to save even more orphaned babies. Even though you were with us such a short time, we won't forget you.

Chelsea
Such a delicate little Persian, we did everything we could for you but it was your time to go to Rainbow Bridge.
We are thankful we could show you love in the short time we had you.
--Nicole
Snuggie-Bug
Snuggie-Bug, you came into our lives and loved everyone you met from the day you joined us. We saved you once,
but your illness was just too hard to cure when it came back. I will never forget you and your unconditional love
you showed us. Kerry and Donna and I were blessed to be able to foster you for the short time you were with us.
We'll see you over Rainbow Bridge someday. We love you, Snuggie.
--Emily, Kerry and Donna
Smudgie
Smudgie, we only had you a few days, but we loved you so much. You purred and kneaded and gave us all the love
your strength could bear. I'm so glad I was with you when you passed over Rainbow Bridge. We love you and we
won't forget you. Even though you were with us such a short time, you will not be forgotten and your life will inspire
us to save other homeless kittens just like you.
--Emily and Kerry

Tiny and sweet - you touched us and we will miss you.
