OARS in the Community

At Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, we are as much about helping people as we are about helping homeless pets.

Our rescue is unique because of how we give back. Here are some of the ways we are striving to make a difference

in our community, one life at a time.

+ We waive adoption fees for approved adopters on a fixed income and those above the age of 62.

+ We go above and beyond for our adopters by "holding" their adopted pet until their new, pet-friendly living

accommodations are ready.

+ We provide referral and assistance to people in need by giving them options and working with them to find solutions.

+ We have offered hospice care for owners who have been in difficult situations and could no longer care for their kitties.

+ We have worked with the home-bound to place appropriate kitties with them by offering transportation, supplies and

any needed additional help.

+ Many of our volunteers are deeply involved in our community with other nonprofit organizations.
