This is a quick list of things to do while volunteering on-site at the Adoption Center.
Foster Adoptions:
Please remember that if you are finalizing an adoption as a foster volunteer, you must do the following:
- Have adopter sign two copies of the Adoption Contract, one for them and one for OARS - download the PDF
- Have adopter write out a check or give cash for the adoption fee - see list of fees here
- Copy or print a copy of the cage card with the pet's medical information for OARS records - this is so that if the
adopter comes back to us in the future saying they lost their records, we have a copy for them
- Provide signed contract, copy of cage card and adoption fee to a Board member - Nicole, Emily, Natalie or Amy
PetSmart Adoptions:
If you bring your foster pet to PetSmart in Appleton or Green Bay and complete the adoption there, OARS can
get a donation of $15. To do this:
- Ask a PetSmart employee for the paperwork to complete an on-site adoption for OARS
- Fill in the requested information, including our OARS number: 7618
- The adopter will also get a bunch of money-saving coupons if you do this
PetSmart also offered to let us bring our adoptable pets to their location in Appleton any Saturday or Sunday
between 10am and 4pm. If any of you are interested in volunteering at a booth with your foster pet(s) during
these times, please let us know.
