HOW YOU CAN HELP

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT OARS
Are you a cat lover? Want to give back to your community and help support a great cause?
OARS uses volunteers in 2 hour blocks twice per day. We have a morning shift, and an afternoon / evening shift. Each shift is responsible for cleaning cat rooms, feeding cats, and socializing the cats and kittens. You can apply to volunteer for a regular weekly shift (for example, every Tuesday evening), or you can pick shifts by month based on your availability and shifts that have openings.
If you are 18 or older, you may volunteer on-site; volunteers ages 12-17 can volunteer on-site with a parent or guardian during that shift.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary (OARS).
We are volunteer-driven and rely on our volunteers for help at special events, craft making, running errands, fundraising efforts, and assistance with daily cat care at the Adoption Center.
Please let us know how you are interested in helping us help homeless pets and we will be in touch with you soon!

OARS Mission Statement
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for cats in need, one at a time. We provide compassion, love, and the highest quality of care for each animal, in a comfortable environment. Cats live in a cage-free environment at the adoption center or in foster homes until adopted.
Any extra care and nurturing that is needed for those cats that may otherwise be deemed unadoptable - the shy, the sick, the orphaned, the injured, the abused, the neglected, the unwanted misfits - is provided by our volunteers until these cats find their forever homes.
About Us
Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue in Neenah, WI that was founded in September 2008 by animal lovers who saw the need in the Fox Cities community to save the lives of more homeless cats. They set in motion the steps needed to ensure a future in which there are no more homeless cats in Wisconsin. As a result, it is important to work with overcrowded shelters to further this goal. OARS receives no public or municipal funding; we rely completely on donations and fundraising to care for these homeless cats.
We inspire action that will make an impact on cats as well as people. Through the development of educational and outreach initiatives, we reach the community and beyond with our message about the importance of spaying and neutering and treating animal companions with respect and dignity. With your help, we will create a network of animal lovers who will change the world—one homeless cat and one person at a time.

GATHER AND COLLECT ITEMS
Donate crafts & homemade goods
OARS is happy to accept crafts of all kinds or other homemade goods to sell at expos and events. We’d encourage you to include a business card or brochure with your items so we can acknowledge you and your business. Some people have made blankets, hats, mittens, scarves, dog coats and cat toys. Please contact us if you are interested in contributing.
Host a supply drive at work, school, church or anywhere else
We’re always in need of litter and high-quality foods for the animals in our care. We often have sick, nursing or baby kitties who need canned food. See our complete list of needed items on our Wish List.
SMALL EFFORTS THAT ADD UP
